---------------------------------------------------------
Amendment B:
Effective March 4th, 2006:

Because of slow loading times and having to scroll too much just to read a single topic, these ae the new signature rules. Please note that any rules can be modified at any point by the staff.
You have a week started today to resize your signatures and conform to these rules, after which, signatures can be edited by any member of the staff.
The picture rules apply to signatures only, you can still post big pictures in the photos forum.
You may save these .jpg images to make sure your signature conforms to the rules.
1) Only two tickers of the allowed type are permitted.
2) Only 4 forum provided smilies are allowed.
3) Only 3 pictures are allowed.
The max size for pictures is:
300x300 pixels combined physical size.
What does combined physical size mean?
300x300 = 90,000 pixels.
So does 450x200 Etc.
So long as your image fits into the total signature size (see #5) and does not exceed 90,000 pixels, you are in compliance.
While 300x300 is the max size for a photo this does not mean you may have three 300x300 photos as that is greater than the total siganture size allowance. Please keep that in mind.
Examples:
300x300
http://www.militaryissuedgirlfriends.com/300x300.JPG
450x200
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m268/hunniebnchsfoats_2006/450x200example.jpg
4) Only 1 small blinky and 1 custom blinkie per signature:
The max size is 200x200 pixels:
http://www.militaryissuedgirlfriends.com/200x200.JPG
5) The max size for the total signature, this includes, text, tickers, smileys, etc is 500x400 pixels, this is much larger than many other forums:
http://www.militaryissuedgirlfriends.com/totalsigsize.JPG
6) Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.
7) No signatures may include a message intending to disrupt the peace and harmony of this board.
8) No signatures may include text or images that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, and/or otherwise violates of any local or international laws.
9) Signatures violations are not to be discussed in threads on the board. If you see a signature in violation, PM a staff member or report a post made by that member with the reason: Signature Violation.
---------------------------------------------------------
Amendment C:
New Rules about changing your username.
With the current surge of people wanting to change their username, I am making a new rule:
1) You may only have one username change, EVER. So if you must change your username, pick it wisely. (See Exception below)
2) I have the right to refuse your username change. Though, I will honor requests made before this rule was made. If you feel you need to have your username changed, give me a good reason. I do not want to hear "I dont like it anymore" or something like that.
3) I have the right to refuse your username change if I feel it will disrupt the community, or if you have not been here long enough. But keep in mind that I do not need to give a reason as to why I am disapproving your request to change your username.
4) After you have changed your username once you may pay a $3 fee to have your name changed. This fee system may be used twice, and goes against the first rule.
5) These rules may be changed at any time.
---------------------------------------------------------
Amendment D:
Starting today (June 12) there will be a minimum of 10 posts needed to be able to debate in the debate section. If you have any questions, or if you have 10 posts but it will not let you post please let a staff member know!
---------------------------------------------------------
Amendment E:
Due to the private nature of some of the topics in certain forums, topics in several forums will be non-visible (therefore no new topics or replies will be able to be posted) to members who do not have at least 15 posts.
Once a member reaches this minimum post requirement, the forums will be able to be viewed and the members will be able to participate.
This is a new rule taking effect on 16 February 2006. If any member that has posted in such forum in the past and after the rule takes effect, can no long participate in this forum, please contact me by PM to correct the situation. Or you may continue to post on the forum until you reach 15 posts...which should not be hard.
Any questions to this rule should be submitted as a reply to this topic.
---------------------------------------------------------
Amendment F:
From now on, all new ideas for swaps (presents, ornaments anything) promotional ideas, or any other type of idea that involves the membership of Military Issued Girlfriends, must be approved by the staff.
These requests can be made by a PM or email to myself or any other member of the staff (moderator, counselor, or even Jess or Jenn who will become moderators again when they feel ready). The staff member you contacted will make all other staff members aware of the new idea, and we will vote on the idea. The idea will be approved if a majority of the staff AND myself approve of the idea.
Once the idea has been voted on, we will notify the inventor of the idea. If the idea was approved, they will be directly involved with the process for developing the rules and guidlines for the idea. And will basicaly be the leader for the idea, but will have staff to help them carry it out and ensure all rules and guidlines are followed as were set up.
If the idea is not approved, the idea inventor has a chance to speak with myself directly to try to convince me why their idea should be approved. If approved, the process will start as if it had been originally approved. If I decline your idea again, you always have the ability to revamp your idea and submit it to the staff to vote on again.
Staff votes will not be made public (you may not know who did or did not vote for your idea). We have the right to reject all ideas, and do not need to provide an explanition. We have the right to force the leader of the idea to step down from the leadership position if we feel that the job is not being successfully carried out. At any time, we may revoke the idea and stop all work.
---------------------------------------------------------

You may only use count up counters, that show how long a person has been gone. You may use counters for basic training, anniversaries and birthdays.
B. Security and Privacy
1. Passwords
Users are responsible for keeping their passwords secure. If ever you think someone else may have obtained your password, contact the forum administrator to make arrangements to secure your member account. If you use a shared computer, make sure you log out of the forum after each visit so someone else cannot come along behind you and access your account.
2. Email address
Users are expected to maintain an accurate email address, otherwise they cannot be contacted regarding important updates by the forum administrator (such as announcements about member pruning or security issues), and will encounter validation problems when changing their contact information or password. Additionally, invalid email addresses cause undue server resources drain due to messages bouncing when members are notified via the PM system and when replies are made to subscribed topics.
3. PM system
The forum's Personal Messaging (PM) system is provided as a convenient method for members to contact one another and receive updates or other warnings from the management. Its use is subject to our rules governing spam and solicitation, and it is the member's responsibility to maintain their inbox and other PM folders. The PM system is unintended for legal correspondence between members, and militaryissuedgirlfriends.com cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience cause by data loss. Also note that PM (though stated as Private message) is not private. These messages can be read by management if a problem is encountered. Messages will not be read of personal reasons.
4. OPSEC
Users MUST read http://www.militaryissuedgirlfriends.com/security.htm before posting. You must agree to obey the standards put in place by OPSEC. Please sign your name on the OPSEC page once you have read the article.
C. Forum Ranking
1. Member ranks
Member ranks are assigned based on post count.
2. Staff ranks
militaryissuedgirlfriends.com's administration is setup as a chain of command. From lowest to highest, the staff structure operates like so:
-Supporting Moderators (in charge or one of more forums)
-Super Moderator (in charge of entire community)
-Administrator (in charge of staff and community)
It is the member's responsiblility to familiarize themselves with who occupies the militaryissuedgirlfriends.com staff while having a working knowledge of the particular duties of staff members so they will know who to address regarding specific matters or concerns.
3. Privilege restrictions
Some forum privileges are restricted based on user level to help prevent abuse of certain board features. New members are prevented from using the forum's email and PM system until they have made six posts, attaining the rank of [2nd Rank], and are likewise prevented from starting polls or uploading avatars or personal photos.

300x300 = 90,000 pixels.
Examples:
300x300

450x200
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m268/hunniebnchsfoats_2006/450x200example.jpg
