Girls,

Though I understand that this message board will not be the right place for everyone, we strive to make it a place that is welcoming for everyone. I know that some girls will have problems, and some will love this place. Unless a departure from the site is due to circumstances that are NOT due to the site itself, your "goodbye" thread will be deleted.

Goodbye threads are only a call for attention, and cause unnecessary concern from girls who already have enough stress in their lives. They do not need to be worrying about you too. Though we all should be friends here, your choice to depart from this website can be better handled through PM's, pagers or have a short statement in your blog explaining your departure.

Please do not turn your departure into a dramatic event which involve uninvolved parties! Your unhappiness does not need to include the rest of the community. If you have concerns, please bring them to the attention of the staff. The staff will make sure that anyone who may be looking for you can get your contact information, and that the rest of the staff knows the situation.

If you post a goodbye thread, it WILL be deleted.

well ok im new... ive only been here for like 4 days! and i dont feel like an outcast but i feel... well, like im new! lol just because its the internet, it still takes some time to meet people and make friends! plus even if ur not best friends with everyone, its not like u cant still benefit from the website, because u can still talk to people and rant and stuff. oh welllll

You are allowed to say that you are leaving on a trip or something, just no drama-related goodbye threads. So.. with your examples, the latter is not allowed. It's perfectly fine to tell people that you'll be gone for a while without internet access or something.

there isn't...not that I'm aware of. but there was about a week ago...I'm sure it's been deleted by now, but the person who shall remain unnamed kept making like 5 threads to say goodbye, started a blog just to say goodbye, etc. it was rather annoying, and people kept telling her goodbye threads are not allowed...just thought I'd bump this in the hopes that new members actually read it :) sorry if I'm only supposed to bump when there's a goodbye thread?
